A WR potentially on the trade block that might intrigue the Tennessee Titans.

Stop me if you have heard this one before, but if there is one position that the Tennessee Titans are probably looking to add talent to, it is wide receiver.

So, when a wide receiver’s name hits the trade block (or is rumored to hit the trade block) all Titans fans should have their ears perked up.

If that wasn’t enough, the wide receiver is in New England now. For those of you who don’t know Jon Robinson spent a decade honing his skills in New England and over the past few years it has been a farm system for future Tennessee Titans.

Forget the cost of this move, let’s just look at who Mitchell is for a second.

Malcolm Mitchell 30 second bio:

-6’1, 210 lb.

-26 years old

-3rd year player from Georgia

-401 yards and 4 TDs in his one healthy year in the NFL

So, personally I don’t know what the plan would be if the Titans brought him in. As you can see below he is clearly not used as a slot receiver in New England often enough to consider him an expert there or anything.

However he did some really nice things on the boundary with contested catches. On top of that he makes some big plays after the catch making guys miss.

Should the Titans trade for him? I don’t know because a lot of that would depend on cost. But his tape is nice and I can see him carving out a nice niche as a boundary receiver that can be top end depth for a Tennessee passing game that should pass the ball a lot more in 2018.

Like I said up top, someone did a great job putting together a video of every target that Mitchell had in his one healthy season so go check that out if you want a good idea of what he has looked like in the pros.
