The Tennessee Titans made their 4th selection in the 2018 NFL Draft.

The Tennessee Titans absolutely nailed their first three picks in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Jon Robinson clearly had a plan fixing the Titans two major needs right off the bat with first round talents in LB Rashaan Evans and EDGE Harold Landry.

Robinson found the perfect intersection of value and need and made great moves.

He followed that up with taking an athletic star in Dane Cruikshank who just started to realize how good he can be. That combination of athleticism and production should mean great things for the Titans as he comes into camp ready to compete for snaps in a loaded DB group.

Robinson followed those picks up with:

Who is it?

Luke Falk, QB Washington State. He started the last three years for Washington State. He was slated to be a Day 2 selection, but a rough year last year when Washington State had little talent around him pushed him down the boards.

How does he win?

He has outstanding accuracy, averaging over 68% during his career and is really good at getting the ball to his teammates in rhythm in the intermediate area. He isn’t going to blow you away with deep ball accuracy, but honestly neither did Jared Goff last year when he was in this offense.

Where does he fit?

You never want to get too excited or too dismissive with a 6th round pick because on one hand, this is the are where Tom Brady went. On the other hand, this is also the pick where 100 other people have gone that didn’t make a name for themselves.

I think that he will be a great QB2 with the potential to make some spot starts and to show off during the preseason.

He is also a massive immediate upgrade over Matt Cassel and will push Gabbert for the number two job sooner rather than later.

Eventually, you hope that he becomes trade bait for another team and that you can get a Day 2 pick out of him. In the mean time you like him as a talented backup who gives you a player custom made for this offense.
