Which draft prospects are the Tennessee Titans connected with?

The 2018 NFL Draft is just 33 days away and it is time to start looking for connections between the Tennessee Titans and some draft prospects.

If you don’t think it is important than look to last year where the Titans brought in 3 of their top 4 picks for pre-draft visits, Taywan Taylor being the only exception.

So I firmly expect the Titans to visit with their first round pick, and probably the player they will select in the second and possibly third round. With that in mind, here is what we know:

Official visits

-Josh Sweat EDGE, FSU

-Richie James WR, MTSU

-Chris Worley ILB, Ohio State

-Justin Reid S, Stanford

These are the players that fall into that 30 official allowed visits, so these are the most serious prospects. Generally this is where you can spend extended time with prospects and figure out if they are a fit for your scheme, culture, etc.

Notable attention

-Sam Hubbard EDGE, OSU

Hubbard has been very disruptive as a complimentary rusher both with Joey Bosa two years ago and with Nick Bosa this year. When he was the guy, he never really flourished with only 3.5 sacks in 2016.

He says that the Titans/Lions/Patriots have shown him the most attention based off of his interactions at the combine and Pro Day.

-Darius Leonard LB, SCST

A highly productive linebacker from a small school, I think Leonard will be very interesting to Jon Robinson who has made several picks from “smaller schools” like Jonnu Smith, Taywan Taylor, Corey Levin, Kevin Byard, Tajae Sharpe, LeShaun Sims, and Kalan Reed.

-Uchenna Nwosu EDGE, USC

A guy who does a lot of things for the Trojans, last year he had 9.5 sacks for USC while not playing a traditional “EDGE” role in most games. In a versatile defense I could see him being intriguing in round 2.

-Braden Smith G, Auburn

I don’t think the Titans go IOL in this draft, especially not on Day 1 or 2, but Smith is someone that Mike Vrabel recruited to OSU but lost out on to Auburn. If he falls down the board, maybe he makes a case to be a value pick.
