Tennessee Titans offseason: Full GM mode version 1
By Will Lomas
My first crack at making the Tennessee Titans a Super Bowl contender.
Take a deep breath in. The offseason is here, which mean some team is going to make a huge upgrade this offseason and make a push to the Super Bowl.
Last year, the Eagles drafted Derek Barnett and added key pieces like Chris Long, Alshon Jeffery, Chance Warmack, etc. in the offseason and put themselves in a great position to win their first ring (alright, maybe the Warmack thing was a joke).
That could be the Titans this year, but only if the right moves are made. Jon Robinson is way smarter than me and if he keeps making moves that meet his standard, Tennessee is in for a great offseason.
More from Titans Draft
- Tennessee Titans suspiciously quiet about major draft need
- 3 needs that are being overblown by Tennessee Titans fans
- Tennessee Titans must be careful trading down in the 2023 NFL Draft
- Tennessee Titans should only spend their premium draft picks on offense
- Tennessee Titans connections may be crucial for a draft day trade
You could argue that he has already made the biggest upgrade he could this offseason and that was getting a new coaching staff that willing to adapt to Marcus Mariota’s strength and be multiple on defense.
So, now that we have that out of the way I want to kinda explain where I am coming from on this. I am not going to throw $20 million at every player I like in FA. I am going to try to approach this like Jon Robinson.
I think J-Rob will try to be shrewd, but if there is a perfect fit for this offense/defense I think he will make a big move. Look at Logan Ryan last year, not expensive but a good deal for a good CB.
So, let’s get into FA.
