The Tennessse Titans have advanced past the Wild Card round of the playoffs and are heading to New England to play the Patriots. The injury report is light this week, so the Titans will have most hands on deck in New England.

It is playoff time! One of the most exciting times of the year. During the playoffs, athletes tend to ignore their injuries in hopes of playing in some of the biggest games of their lives. The players on this report potentially would have been out during a regular season game, but as we all know, the playoffs are do or die. There are no guarantees in life and these Tennessee Titans players are going to take advantage of playing high level football, even if they have a nagging injury.

DeMarco Murray – Running Back – Knee

It looks like the career of DeMarco Murray in Tennessee may be coming to an end. Murray has this knee injury that does not seem to be getting any better. He has not been able to step foot on the practice field at all since it happened. If the Titans move on in the playoffs, there is no real timetable for Murray’s return.

Look for Derrick Henry to continue to get the bulk of the workload at running back for the rest of the playoffs. Even if Murray comes back, Henry has played well as the workhorse and will continue to carry the load. It is also possible that the other running backs on the roster get a few carries here or there. Do not be shocked if David Fluellen and Khalfani Muhammad find their way on the field in third down situations.

Logan Ryan – Cornerback – Ankle

It would have taken a lot for Ryan to miss his return to New England. He has been nursing an ankle injury since the last couple of weeks of the regular season. Ryan missed practice on Tuesday and was limited on Wednesday. The good news is he was a full go on Thursday and is expected to play on Saturday.

More from Titan Sized

Ryan is an asset that the Titans can really use in New England. As a former Patriot, he might have an inside scoop on how to play against that offense. Look for him to have a big game and play well if he is completely healthy.

Quinton Spain – Guard – Back

Starting guard Quinton Spain has had some back issues as of late. The problem with back issues is that they can persist for a long time. He missed most of practice this week, but was back to participating in full on Thursday.

Spain is an integral part of the offensive line that has led the way for Henry and Murray all season. They are also a big reason for why Marcus Mariota has had success recently, as well. For the Titans to win on Saturday, Spain will need to be healthy against the New England defense.
