Tennessee Titans fans could get a glimpse into the future tonight.
Tonight, the Los Angeles Chargers (still weird saying that) will go on the road and play the Kansas City Chiefs. This is huge for both the AFC West playoff race and the wildcard race.
Let’s get this out of the way, the Titans have a tougher road to the playoffs than people want to admit at this point.
With an offensive coordinator that time has left behind, Marcus Mariota and the rest of the offensive players will have to outperform a scheme that is dooming them to fail. At the very least it isn’t enhancing or emphasizing the talent this team has.

So with that in mind, it is hard to watch other potential playoff teams and think that we are on the same level as the winners. However, this team has 8 wins so far this season and if they can beat the 49ers they would have 9 wins with their last two games at home.
If we are optimistic and think this team can get to the playoffs, tonight will tell you a lot about what could be waiting for them on the other side.
Right now as the 5-seed, the Titans are on pace to see (the 4-seed) Kansas City in the playoffs. So tonight would show us what a matchup could look as a road team going into Kansas City on a short week.
On the other side, if Tennessee can get the 3-seed then we could see how the Chargers (a potential WC team) will play on the road in a tough stadium.

It is important to remember right now that Kansas City has the head-to-head win and if they win tonight it would all but condemn the Chargers to the WC spot while locking themselves into a AFC West championship.
Tonight is a must watch for all the perspective and insight it would give Titans fans for the potential matchup in four weeks. Focusing on the now is important, but don’t be afraid to gaze ahead just a little.
