Would this mock draft make sense to you based off of what you have seen from the Tennessee Titans?

The Tennessee Titans have played seven games this year and are leading the AFC South.

However, after years of being beaten down by this franchise I have become addicted to looking towards the future. With USA Today coming out with a new 3-round 2018 NFL mock draft, I had to take a look.

Did they get it right? Or would I have changed some picks? Let’s look at the three choices.

1st round, pick 25 Tennessee Titans: Dorance Armstrong EDGE, Kansas

I think the thought is right, but as far as I can tell Armstrong has been healthy and only has one sack this year which is not acceptable for a 1st round pick. The Titans need a pass rusher, but taking a project who is having a down year in the first round freaks me out too much.

My pick: Ogbonnia Okoronkwo EDGE, Oklahoma (25 sacks in the last two years)

2nd round, pick 57 Tennessee Titans: M.J. Stewart CB, UNC

I have no problem with this pick. He is one of the few CBs in the NCAA that will end up passing a lot of Jon Robinson’s thresholds that he needs in a DB.

On top of that, he is 6’0 and a long term starter which should help him separate himself even more from other day 2 DBs.

My pick: Same

3rd round, pick 89 Tennessee Titans: Beau Benzschwel G, Wisconsin

With Corey Levin developing with Russ Grimm and two young guards who the Titans will make an effort not to lose, I don’t imagine that guard will be a high priority this offseason.

I get taking BPA and keeping a strength a strength, but not here. You want your Day 1/2 picks to be starters or players that rotate heavily early.

My pick: Duke Ejiofor EDGE, Wake Forrest (You can’t have enough pass rushers)
