Time for Tennessee Titans to lock up some veterans
By Will Lomas
The Tennessee Titans should be looking ahead to their impeding free agents.
Alright, I have seen enough. The Tennessee Titans need to start locking up some of their veterans right now before they hit free agency.
Before the season, it didn’t look like there were going to be many potential free agent losses. However, some people have really looked good this year and others just make sense.
Let’s look at who the Titans need to re-sign before the price tag starts to rise.

Josh Kline: RG
Kline was viewed as a weak spot on this offensive line before the season.
You can attribute his rise to a few things:
-More time with this coaching staff
-More time gelling with the other OL members
-A more stable environment
-Or maybe just him getting outright better
No matter what caused it, the point is that he has looked am lot better this year. I am not the only one who sees it:
Those 3 other guards are averaging over $8 million per year between them. Kline is only making $1.65 million per year.
Kline is only 27 years old and you can still get a lot of good years out of him. The Titans should jump on this chance to extend him now.

Quinton Spain: LG
Spain has been “the other guard” this year for the Tennessee Titans. While he has probably been the worst graded of the Titans starting five in 2017, he is still one of the better left guards in the NFL when it is all said and done.
Spain is also much younger and has more upside than Kline, and one day he could grow into being this team’s best interior lineman.
Ryan Succop: K
The NFL’s leading scorer through Week 3 has been absolutely nails for Tennessee this year. I am not going to write too much because I don’t have a lot of nice words for “He is a really good kicker.”
But yea, he is a really good kicker so extend him.

DaQuan Jones: DL
Jones can play all across the defensive line and he looks good doing so. In fact, the Titans best offensive line combination may be Austin Johnson and Jurrell Casey at DE, then Jones moves to nose tackle.
Jones isn’t going to be a high price player, but with a lot of extensions coming up soon it would be nice for the Titans to get an above average starter locked down at a price they are comfortable with.
