The Tennessee Titans will be playing this weekend, but it may not be in Jacksonville.

The Tennessee Titans are scheduled to play the Jacksonville Jaguars this weekend, in Jacksonville. Well, that may not work out.

Though Mike Mularkey indicated that he thinks the Titans will end up in Jacksonville in his Monday press conference, that may not be the case and they may have to move around to Nashville or do something else entirely.

According to NBC Sports, there is a chance that the hurricane is leaves the city stretched thin or unable to support a game at this time.

There are two options that make some sense apparently:

“The game could be played in Nashville, with the Jacksonville edition of the annual two-game series being played in Week 17. Another option would be to treat this as the bye for both teams and play the game in Week Eight, since both teams currently are due to be off then.”

If we use the Miami-Tampa Bay game as a template, the ideal scenario for the NFL is to cancel the game and move it to the BYE week.

So, while it may seem like an advantage to have the game in Nashville, it is probably equally as important to have this as an early BYE week before the Houston Texans game.

Either way, if something changes the schedule there are positives for the Titans. I think it would be better to keep the BYE week if at all possible, but like I said you don’t have to look far to see some benefits.

While this is all unlikely, it is important for fans to know exactly what is going on, and we will get more information as the week progresses.
