Another day, another star of Tennessee Titans training camp.

Saturday belonged to Eric Decker, Sunday belonged to Corey Davis and Monday at Tennessee Titans training camp seems to belong to Taywan Taylor.

Now, before I start on this, it should be noted that this reviews is skewed towards the offense.

The first few padded practices the defense always thrives and until there is more cohesion it is hard for me to gush over anyone on defense because the offense is generally a little disjointed.

Having said that, Taywan Taylor came out of the first padded practice sounding like a star.

Look at a pair of tweets from Terry McCormick who was at practice

Not only did Taylor thrive on a day where the defense was being extra physical, he won in multiple ways.

I don’t know who was covering him, but he clearly won with speed on his first rep and then refused to be bullied on his next rep.

  • Just yesterday the buzz was that Eric Decker was so good that Taywan Taylor might lose more reps than expected to the veteran.

However, just a few hours later and it is pretty clear that Taylor isn’t going down without a fight. If the Titans can find a way to get him involved in space he sounds dangerous.

And it wasn’t just through the air. While people are expecting Adoree Jackson to be an X-factor on offense, he will have to fight off trick plays from Taylor first.

This offense is going to run through the running game and the offensive line.

Although, the more positive notes you see and hear about Marcus Mariota and this versatility and depth at wide receiver, the more you think that this team could just as easily go with a 4WR set and spread the ball out.

Heading into this preseason Rishard Matthews, Corey Davis, Eric Decker, and Taywan Taylor all sounded a little too good to be true. However, so far they have all lived up to their billing and even more.

It makes you excited to read who stands out tomorrow and it should give Titans fans a confidence that they haven’t had in a long time.
