Grading the Tennessee Titans offseason
By Will Lomas
A look at what Jon Robinson has done for the Tennessee Titans this offseason.
Earlier in the offseason before free agency and the NFL Draft I made a list of things the Tennessee Titans needed to get accomplished before the next season.
Now, rarely does a GM nail every position or need perfectly. In fact, there may be times where it seems like a GM doesn’t agree with the fans at all about what needs to be done.
However, Jon Robinson doesn’t seem like a regular GM. He not only sees what the Titans needs, but he sees into the future to figure out how to make this roster better at every level.

Look at last season, he trusted his eyes and knew that Taylor Lewan could be a great LT so instead of wasting a top pick on left tackles Laremy Tunsil or Ronnie Stanley he brought in the best OT in the draft in Jack Conklin and got extra picks to do it.
Heck, yesterday he signed Jurrell Casey to an extension that will look like a steal next to the numbers that Star Lotulelei, Sheldon Richardson and Aaron Donald get.
So, when you look at how well his free agency class and his draft class meshed together, you really get a great idea of Robinson’s vision and why the fan base should be so excited about the future.
Like I mentioned earlier, I did have a list of things that needed to get done that I wrote months ago. Let’s look at those needs and how Robinson addressed them for the Tennessee Titans.
