Peter King calls for a major jump this year for the Tennessee Titans.

The Tennessee Titans are now a top five team in the NFL ahead of the likes of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Green Bay Packers, Seattle Seahawks, and Dallas Cowboys.

According to Peter King that is.

That’s right, the veteran sportswriter has declared the Titans a top five team in his offseason power rankings that takes into account free agency, the draft, front office shifts, coordinator changes, and positional coaches.

All those changes combined with a stellar 2016 campaign has propelled the Tennessee Titans to the #4 team in the league according to Peter King.

Without going into too much detail (read the article, it is very good) King has a lot of faith in the youth on the offense. The bookends and Marcus Mariota receive a lot of praise in the article, and I believe they deserve it.

The defense is anchored by veterans, with a lot of praise for Jurrell Casey:

“On defense, Jurrell Casey needs to be a national attention-grabber, Vince Wilfork with a better pass-rush. He’s good.”

Some impact play from younger defensive backs could be the difference in a 8-8 team and a double digit win team.

I will leave you will Peter King’s “Titans prediction in 10 words or less”:

Marcus Mariota will be a strong MVP candidate.”
