Demontre Hurst is the new man in the Tennessee Titans secondary
By Kyle Zwiazek
This may not be the cornerback you were looking for but Hurst does bring competition. Competition is always a good thing right?
Throughout the off-season the Titans have been in the market for a new cornerback to improve their secondary. That goal was achieved when the team secured the services of Logan Ryan to play the position. Jon Robinson was not done though. According to Jim Wyatt, the Titans have signed Demontre Hurst away from the Bears. Hurst has completed 3 seasons in the NFL with the Chicago Bears.

First off, do not let this article fool you. Hurst will not be a starting cornerback on the Titans next season. If he is, the Titans defense is in a lot more trouble than we originally expected. Hurst is a nice depth piece though. This is one of those moves that can end up being a really nice move for the Titans. He is a low risk high reward style player. If Hurst becomes the next Richard Sherman (which I would not count on) Robinson will look like a genius. If he is terrible he probably will not even make the team and no one will remember this article at all.
What we do know about Hurst though is that he has managed to stay in the NFL for 3 seasons as a cornerback. According to Pro Football Reference, Hurst has 45 solo tackles and 2 interceptions in 32 career games. I know do not get to excited over there, I can sense you jumping out of your seat with the move. Hopefully the move works out and we all are calling Robinson a genius, but at least we have a player to add to the secondary competition.
