Pro Football Focus has recently done a lot of great work on the NFL Draft. It is hard to judge skills on a numerical basis, but they are doing a good job figuring out exactly who is doing their job the best at the college level.

More from Titans Draft

They just put out a list of their top 32 players in college football this year, and it just so happens that the Titans have two picks in the first 32 guaranteed. The only problem is we don’t know where.

With the Titans looking for a CB and a WR early in the draft, let’s see if any names jump off the page that make sense for Tennessee in 2017.

  • 4. Desmond King CB, Iowa

I have loved King as a fit for the Titans for two years now. He is a player who played his full career in college and who is very good against both the run and the pass.

Additionally, he is a great special teams player which is a huge need for the Titans. He would be an instant starter, and here is a small clip of what PFF had to say:

“He’s off to a terrific start with six passes defensed and an interception on 32 targets, this after getting his hands on 20 passes (eight interceptions, 12 passes defensed) last season. “

    6. Corey Davis WR, Western Michigan

Another highly productive player with a long college career, Davis is probably a fringe #1 WR in the NFL but checks off all of the boxes. Look at this description and see if it doesn’t sound like a Jon Robinson guy.

“While the volume hasn’t been there for Davis this season (61 targets through seven games), Davis remains perhaps the best wide receiver in the class due to his excellent route-running, body control and after-the-catch ability. He projects as a short and intermediate threat at the next level with just enough downfield ability to complete the package.”

    15. Jourdan Lewis CB, Michigan

With Michigan schools claiming two of the best players on the Titans roster, why not go back to the well here?

Lewis is ultra aggressive, which may hurt him in the eyes of some scouts but it is guaranteed that he is going to be very tight to the wide receiver when the ball is in the air and it is never going to be an easy catch.

There are other guys on that list at CB and WR, but those are the ones I really like as a fit for the Titans. Go check out the full list here and tell me if I missed anyone that you think really fits Jon Robinson’s template for drafting players.
