Week one of the preseason is in the books. Tennessee played against the San Diego Chargers, and overall did a nice job taking home the win 27-10. The Titans established their identity as a run first physical football team and now need to maintain that identity. Let’s take a look at a few players who stood out to make nice plays, and those who hurt themselves in trying to make this team.

Who Impressed.
• DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry both had nice games, combining for well over 100 yards.
• Antwon Blake well in keeping his man covered.
• Tre Mcbride had a few catches, but really shined as a return man.
• Damion Stafford showed a team first mentality setting up his teammates to make tackles.

• Kevin Byard had a nice interception.
• J.R Tavai was a ball hawk and also had a sack.
• Bishop Sankey and Antonio Andrews both had good games. Leaving management with a tough decision to make at this point.
• Deiontrez Mount had a good game.
• Justin Staples had an impressive interception.
Players who must step up.
• Rookie tight end Alex Ellis had a few mental errors and lost a fumble.
• B.W Webb consistently got beat by James Jones and missed a open field tackle.

Mall in all the Titans played a very solid game. Competition seems to have brought out the best in these players, which will make the decisions hard on management as the time for cuts come around.
