Who the Titans scouts were watching
By Will Lomas
The Tennessee Titans are not waiting on games to finish to give their scouts a look at current NFL rosters. You don’t have to look any farther than the Minnesota Vikings and Cincinnati Bengals to see just who is watching what.

Not sure what I mean? Well, Matt Vensel tweeted out a picture of which scouts were in attendance of the game in Cincinnati this weekend.
There is no way to be sure exactly who they were looking at, here is a list of standout performers from that game.

Cincinnati Bengals: Rashaun Simonise, WR
If that name looks familiar, it should. Simonise was the best looking player in the supplemental draft a month ago. He was the one player that I thought that the Titans should really look at and bring in if they felt any sort of need for another receiver.
While he didn’t do much, he did catch a pass for 47 yards which is a good starting point.
Minnesota Vikings: Jayron Kearse, S
Former Titans safety Michael Griffin is now in Minnesota, but the Vikings also brought in Kearse in the 7th round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He wasn’t a great prospect coming out, but he looks good so far with 5 tackles and an interception.
If the numbers don’t work out in Minnesota, he would be a prime candidate to wait and develop to be the strong safety next to Kevin Byard in 2017.

Those two players both fit two of the three biggest areas of need for Tennessee. Now, both probably need to sit for a year or at least have a reserve role/place on special teams.
Both could continue to develop but they are also both just on the line of players that are on the bubble. If they hit the waiver wire, I wouldn’t be surprised if Tennessee made a claim for either of these guys.
Also, not a huge note but both of them are 6’4 or taller (Simonise is 6’5). Getting bigger has been a huge priority this offseason, which will also make them tempting targets.
