Let me start by saying I like Mike Mularkey. When he was first hired I hated it, and felt like management didn’t care about the success of the team. What brought me around to liking Mike and giving him a chance was listening to his interviews, he has a vision for this team, and he is taking steps to establish that vision. It seems that Mike and Jon Robinson are giving this team something Webster and coach Wiz never could, and Identity.

Mike Mularkey signed a three year contract with the club to be the 18th head coach of the franchise, but how long can we expect him to be the head coach? there are really only two options here, he could be so awful he gets the boot mid-way through the 2016 season, or he could be great and have a job here until he decides to walk away. Now, which of these two scenarios seem to be more likely?
FanSided
Scenario 1.
In this scenario Mike Mularkey is just awful. His coaching record is 18-39 afterall. If the team finishes 2-14, 3-13, or 4-12 will management give him the boot? I doubt it. I believe he will at least be giving the same time frame as Ken Whisenhunt, year and a half to two years, but I believe two years of the records mentioned earlier and he will be gone. Amy Adams Strunk seems dedicated to be serious about building a team fans could be proud of. Mrs. Strunk even purchased a house in the Nashville area this off-season.
Scenario 2.
This is the best, realistic scenario and the one I hope to see this fall. In this scenario Mularkey completely turns this team around, and they finish 7-9, 8-8, or even 9-7. This could be possible if Marcus Mariota takes the next step forward, DeMarco gets back to his 2014 form, The O-line takes a big step forward, our defense keeps doing what it did at the start of last year, and someone emerges as a true threat in our receiving corps. After this the team would build on this success and make the playoffs the following years, and eventually bring a Super Bowl home to Nashville, something no coach has ever done for this franchise.

Most likely scenario.
This is the scenario I see most likely playing out although no one really knows whats going to happen. In this scenario the team slowly progresses to having around a .500 record every year, and after four, five, or six years management finally has enough and lets Mike go. As I said earlier in the post Amy seems like she is ready to do whatever it takes to get Tennessee over the hump. She will give Mike the chance to make this team into a winner, but eventually enough will be enough and will decide to try a different route.
