Tennessee Titans: Recovering from Ruston Webster
By P. L. Colter
In a shocking turn of events, Ruston Webster was relieved of his duties following the 2015 season, and was replaced by first year general manager Jon Robinson.
In fairness to Webster, not all of his picks were questionable. He was responsible for bringing Delanie Walker to Tennessee via free agency, as well as linebacker Avery Williamson and Dorial Green-Beckham via the 2014 and 2015 drafts. All three will be heavy contributors this season.
But Webster’s overall body of work was shaky to say the least, and the team fell further and further into the NFL cellar under his watch.
Robinson has been given the unenviable task of returning the Titans to the winning ways that it enjoyed for much of its time in Nashville, and so far, he is receiving rave reviews for his offseason moves this year.
But a reminder…even a caution to Titans fans…this will be a process. Robinson needs time.
It took four seasons for Webster’s picks to have its cumulative effect, and it will take time for Robinson to…in a sense..reverse the curse.

Titans fans should temper their expectations, but not their excitement. Tennessee seems to be in the right hands now. But the truth of the matter is….
It will take time to recover from Ruston Webster.
