  • What is the point?

This is where you start installing a playbook and you teach the rookies exactly what they will be doing at the NFL level.

For some, that may mean where they are playing i.e. outside corner vs inside corner, right tackle vs left tackle, weak side defensive tackle vs strong side, etc.

For others that may mean finding out that they were brought into camp as long term projects, as long as they have the ability, desire, athleticism, and technique to play special teams in year one.

Like I said earlier, it also shows you what kind of shape they are in and just how healthy they are.

    Who will be the stars?

You would assume this list would start off with Jack Conklin, well not so fast. Derrick Henry will be the most likely candidate to be the big man on campus day one.

Derrick Henry is the perfect Titan for this week. He is a huge specimen that played at Alabama and was a hero there. For all intents and purposes, there are only two colleges that really have a big presence at Tennessee  Titans games: Tennessee and Alabama.

To get maybe the best player at either of those schools in the last half decade or more, is a huge draw for local and national media.

The other guy likely to stand out is Tajae Sharpe. Sharpe is pretty physically imposing as well standing at 6’2″ with a long frame. On top of that he will be the go to weapon in any passing drills our routes seen in this camp.

All in all, it makes a ton of sense for these two massive players to stand out inside the facility and on the field. If they can get the playbook down, both could also be leading candidates to be stars of the preseason too given their spots on the depth charts.
