The Tennessee Titans are now sitting at 15th overall in the 2016 NFL Draft after a huge trade yesterday. People are finally starting to settle into the idea that there are more people to really look at in this draft than just Laremy Tunsil and Jalen Ramsey.

More from Titans Draft

While both are obviously great, it is time to start looking down the draft board and seeing what names will come up.

Now, the Titans pick at 15, but I think we can assume that Jared Goff and Carson Wentz are not only players they wouldn’t target, but players that are likely to go 1st and 2nd overall. Well, 15 – 2= 13,  so let’s look at the top 13 non-quarterbacks in this draft just 13 days away from the big day.

    No linebackers?

Jaylon Smith and Myles Jack were both considered, but knee injuries have to knock you down the board. If you are a starting linebacker in the NFL you have to move side to side very well if you want to play outside of the base defense. I don’t know if either will be able to do that in year one, and if so they would both be on this list.

    Buckner 12th?

I love a power rusher with the ability to disengage and make impact plays in the backfield. Well, Buckner has the first part down, but does he have the second? He is a better prospect than Danny Shelton was last year who was the prime interior power rusher.

Shelton did not have a good rookie year and made minimal impact on one of the worst teams in the league so I when I grade and rank, future impact has to weigh in. If not Roberto Aguayo would be on the top-10. I think Buckner will be good, but will be be the next Calais Campbell? I have some doubts.

    No Shaq?

Shaq Lawson is a player I really like, and the fact that he is a force player is huge. However, I really like the other guys on this list more and his lack of production scares me. He had 3.5 sacks in 2014 opposite the best pass rusher in last year’s class, which is a huge red flag for me.

    Who is Sheldon Rankins?

Rankins is the best players in this draft that no one is talking about. He is the best pass rushing defensive tackle in this class which has become a very expensive position in today’s NFL, so I expect him to go highly in this draft. He has averaged 7 sacks in his last two years from the defensive tackle position, just one less than Shaq Lawson.

I see Rankins as a fit in every system in the NFL and I could see the Tennessee Titans taking a long hard look at him if he falls to 15th overall.

While there are some rumors about trading a 2nd round pick for Mo Wilkerson of the New York Jets, I don’t know if Jon Robinson will do that. If he doesn’t, this would give the Titans two young 3-4 DEs that could also find a way to get on the field in 4-3 downs. It would also be a BPA pick which I think is something that Robinson is planning for if the top-10 doesn’t fall the way he would like.
