  • With this, the Tennessee Titans 2016 draft will look like:

    1st round — No. 15
    2nd round — No. 33
2nd round — No. 43 (acquired from Rams)
2nd round — No. 45 (acquired from Rams)
    3rd round — No. 64
3rd round — No. 76 (acquired from Rams)
    5th round — No. 140
    6th round — No. 193 (from Falcons)
    7th round — No. 222

According to Titans GM Jon Robinson, the ideology behind the deal was to “bolster the depth of this football team and a lot of good quality players that are going to be at the top of the draft.”

Overall, the move was a wise one for the Titans.  In the words of Jon Robinson, “This move does not knock us out of any player, except one. We now have the ammunition to work the draft and acquire players that are going to be good for this football team.”

Based on what Robinson had to say in the interview, we can expect Tennessee to try to move up higher in the draft.

But if the draft stays the way it currently stands, the former top prospects for the Titans like Ramsey, Bosa, and Tunsil will all be gone. In this situation, the Titans could very well select Reggie Ragland, an inside linebacker out of Alabama. They could also look at options  such as offensive tackles Taylor Decker from Ohio State, and Jack Conklin out of Michigan State.
