The Tennessee Titans don’t have a game tonight, but there is certainly a good reason for Titans fans to watch football tonight. According to NFL.com the Titans are sending out scouts to two games tonight, and one this weekend with a huge prospect. Let’s take a look:
More from Titans Draft
- Tennessee Titans suspiciously quiet about major draft need
- 3 needs that are being overblown by Tennessee Titans fans
- Tennessee Titans must be careful trading down in the 2023 NFL Draft
- Tennessee Titans should only spend their premium draft picks on offense
- Tennessee Titans connections may be crucial for a draft day trade
West Virginia at TCU (tonight)
Top players at West Virginia:
-S KJ Dillon
-RB Wendell Smallwood
-CB Daryl Worley
Top players from TCU
-WR Josh Doctson
-QB Trevone Boykin
-WR Kolby Listenbee
Josh Doctson is one of the best receivers in this draft class and with his size (6’3) and ball skills, he would be an excellent prospect for the Titans to add to the roster next year. He and Marcus Mariota would work perfectly together, both are from high tempo, spread offenses and Doctson catches anything thrown to him.
Having a player like that in 2016 to pair with a redzone threat like DGB and a solid playmaker in the middle in Kendall Wright, would make this team very talented at the position.
WVU has a chance to have two defensive backs taken in the first two days, and K.J. Dillon would be a great way to cope with the DB issue the Titans have if they choose to go somewhere else in the first two rounds.

Oregon at Arizona State (tonight)
Top Oregon players:
-DL DeForest Buckner
-RB Royce Freeman
-WR Bralon Addison
Top AZST players:
-RB/WR D.J. Foster
-QB Mike Bercovici
-DB Jordan Simone
This is a less interesting matchup. Royce Freeman is a dynamic running back that is having a good year on a bad team. With the Titans likely facing a lot of change at the RB position this offseason if no one grabs the job, the team might be looking at him and checking where he is ranked with other scouts.
Addison was the team’s second leading receiver two years ago and he was only passed by now Philadelphia Eagle’s wide receiver Josh Huff. The reason why he wasn’t last year is because he had an ACL injury which could scare some teams from ranking him highly. He has been a better returner this year than anything the Titans have, so he should have all eyes on him on special teams.
The only other player to watch to me is D.J. Foster, and he is a big play guy. They need to get him more touches because he is great with the ball in his hands and will make a natural transition to that flex WR/RB role that Dexter McCluster has at the next level, but in a WR/RB class this stacked he doesn’t look like a high pick to me.
Georgia at Florida
I won’t break down the top players here, because there should only be one player getting a ton of attention here from the Titans, and that is Florida CB Vernon Hargreaves III. VH3 is a stud and he is going to be a play maker at the next level. As a Tennessee (Vols) fan, understand that there is no bias to a Florida player, but outside of Joey Bosa I don’t know who you could point to and say is a better prospect right now.
Forget his height, forget the small back issues that he has had once or twice, if the Titans have a chance at VH3 and don’t take it, they will regret it. Unless they have a chance at Bosa, then they need to sprint to the podium and grab this guy.
