Buffalo Bills currently plagued by injury

The Tennessee Titans are facing a tough matchup coming up after their bye week last week. On defense, the Buffalo Bills are a staunch and they like to mix up their pressure packages to mess with quarterbacks.

On offense, the Bills have dynamic playmakers like Karlos Williams, LeSean McCoy, Percy Harvin, Tyrod Taylor, and Sammy Watkins. However, injuries may hurt the Bills on both sides of the ball.

If you don’t know what I am talking about, take a look at what the news has been over the past two weeks from Buffalo.

QB Tyrod Taylor

This is one of the smaller injuries on this list, but at the most important position. Taylor has an ankle injury that has been bugging him for weeks, but it was bad enough recently to put him on the injury report. After taking a lot of hits this weekend I would be a bit surprised if that injury was just gone.

RB LeSean McCoy

McCoy is out for this game, at least according to reports before the New York Giants game last week. An MRI revealed a new tear in his hamstring and he is expected to sit out the next week (and maybe a few after that) in an attempt to heal up to 100%.

  • RB Karlos Williams

The talented backup running back Karlos Williams had a concussion after the Giants game, and starting the concussion protocol on Tuesday is not a great sign for a player who needs to start next week. If he does make it to the game on Sunday, then he could definitely play a little softer and more conservatively out of fear of re-injuring himself.

    WR Sammy Watkins

Watkins missed last weeks game and is far from a lock for this week. Calf injuries are tricky and the Titans are experiencing this with rookie running back David Cobb who is on short term I.R. Again, if he plays expect him to be hobbled in some capacity.

    Safety Bacarri Rambo

According to a recent report from Mike Garafolo, it looks like Rambo is expected to miss this weeks game. With Aaron Williams week-to-week with a neck injury, that could leave the Bills forced into starting Johnathan Meeks. For those who don’t know (including me before this) Meeks is a special teams player only who really has never seen the field. This would be a huge mismatch for a player like Marcus Mariota.

    TE Marquies Gray

Gray is definitely out after being sent to I.R. with a forearm injury last week. He had played sparingly as a rotational tight end.

There are several other bumps and bruised around that team, and players like defensive end Alex Carrington, wide receiver Marquise Goodwin and guard John Miller who all sat out last week.
