Mariota’s calm, Green-Beckham’s potential stoking rare buzz for Titans – Don Banks Sports Illustrated
There’s only one letter of difference between hype and hope, but a visit to the Tennessee Titans training camp this year makes clear the distinction.
The change in atmospheric conditions within the Titans’ team complex takes all of about five minutes to notice. There’s a quiet but unmistakable sense of growing confidence in the building, and though it’s still in its nascent stages, you get the feeling the Titans think they already know something that the rest of us haven’t quite caught on to just yet.
2015 NFL Power Rankings #31: Tennessee Titans – Chuck Mills SB Nation
Best Case Scenario: Marcus Mariota has an alright rookie season, but shows that he belongs in the NFL, Taylor Lewan shows some development. Bishop Sankey gives the Titans an average rushing attack, Justin Hunter lives up to his potential, and Dorial Green-Beckham has a solid rookie season while keeping his head straight. The defense shows some fight throughout the season.
Worst Case Scenario: Mariota is a disaster in 2015, Lewan and Sankey don’t progress, Hunter goes down as a case of unfulfilled potential, Dorial Green-Beckham is a head case, and the defense continues to allow people to walk all over it.

The Titans stay home, hosting training camp at Saint Thomas Sports Park in Nashville. But this one had a markedly different feel to it, thanks to the inclusion of No. 8. There were no parking spaces left at the facility. Fans slammed the fence along the field, fighting to see. Times are changing in Tennessee.
Triplicate duplicates: Three members of Titans’ secondary have twin brothers – Paul Kuharsky ESPN
When the Tennessee Titans signed safety Josh Aubreythis week, they added a very unique wrinkle to their defensive backs room.
Aubrey joins Jason McCourty and Michael Griffin as Titans defensive backs who have twin brothers.
They’re all distinct, of course, but we can say the Titans have duplicates in triplicate.
Marcus Mariota says no interceptions no big deal – David Climer The Tennessean
I’m starting to think the smart thing would be for Marcus Mariota to drop back and chuck a pass right between the 3s of Michael Griffin’s jersey
That way, everybody could stop fixating on the fact that he has yet to throw an interception through eight practices at Titans training camp
Talk about a small story that has mushroomed far out of proportion. If Mariota goes another couple of practices without throwing a pick, somebody is bound to compare it to Joe DiMaggio’s 56-game hitting streak or the Dolphins’ undefeated season.
Day 8 Training Camp Observations – Jim Wyatt Titansonline
Running back David Cobb has been playing catch-up in camp after missing a good chuck of the offseason with a quad injury, and he’s struggled at times. But the fifth-round pick out of Minnesota had a nice day at the stadium on Saturday. Cobb received a handoff and bounced outside on one run, and finished in the end zone. Later, Cobb reached pay dirt on a short run after taking the handoff from the one-yard line. He made a good read and darted in without a lot of contact. Cobb needs to keep on a positive path to earn more playing time early in the season.
