Brett Kern & Ryan Succop
This group was one of the few bright spots during the dismal 2014 season. I hate to think of what the scores would have looked like had it not been for strong leg of Brett Kern, and his ability to down the ball inside the opponents 20 yard line.
With so many rookies, and new faces on the team and there will be many third down plays that will not get the job done. For that reason, Kern will need to continue to bomb the football and Ryan Succop will need to get some points out of the drives that stall in the Red Zone.
With the new rules changes moving the extra point try from the 33 yard-line, the place kicker’s job will take on some new meaning.
No longer will the PAT be a given, and with a young team such as the Titans, two-point PATs are a risky business.
This will put more pressure on Ryan Succop, and after a full offseason in Nashville, I think he is up to the task.
