While most of the Tennessee Titans and fans turn their attention to the first big holiday weekend of the year and honoring our fallen war heroes, they will also be getting ready for OTA’s which begin on Tuesday. It will be the first time that rookies and veterans alike will be able get on the field and get to work with a common goal!  “Avenge a 2-14 2014 season”!

I hope everyone has a fun and safe Memorial Day Weekend!

Titans OLB Jonathan Massaquoi rehabilitating shoulder – Paul Kuharsky ESPN Titans Reporter

When the Tennessee Titans get into team work at their first full OTA practice on Tuesday, outside linebacker Jonathan Massaquoi is not expected to be part of it.

The Titans are hopeful Massaquoi, claimed off waivers from Atlanta at the start of March, can be a solid role player at a position where they need depth.

While he can play both sides, I think he’s penciled in on the right, behind big free-agent acquisition Brian Orakpo.

3 Reasons why the Tennessee Titans are now relevant in the NFL – Will Lomas Music City Miracles

Face it Tennessee Titans fans, going into the 2014 season there really wasn’t a reason to say, “Wow, I have to watch this team for all 16 game.” To a non partial fan of the NFL the only reason to watch the game was to see if this team would get the first overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Well, the Tennessee Titans didn’t get the first overall pick, but they sure made the most of their offseason. In just five months, the Tennessee Titans went from laughing stock, to a team that national media fall over their feet to discuss one way or another.

These are three reasons why the Tennessee Titans will be anything but irrelevant in 2015:

Marcus Mariota has the NFL’s best-selling jersey in May – Michael David Smith Pro Football Talk

Titans fans are eager to throw their support behind new quarterback Marcus Mariota.

Mariota has the NFL’s best-selling jersey for the month of May, Titans director of finance Stuart Spears told Paul Kuharsky of ESPN.

A study by a sports marketing company also found that Mariota ranks as the 39th most marketable athlete in the world. That may sound rather shocking for a player who hasn’t played a professional game yet, but Mariota was a popular Heisman Trophy winner at Oregon who enters the NFL with a significant fan base. It also helps that Mariota (unlike the only player drafted ahead of him, Jameis Winston) has a squeaky-clean image off the field.

Week 1 starters: Tennessee Titans – Alexander Hand YardBarker

OTAs are approaching, and while there is always the possibility of camp warriors and injuries, it is fun to guestimate who shall be the week one starters on each NFL Team. The Tennessee Titans held the number two overall pick this previous draft, and took a player that wasn’t exactly a need, nor a scheme fit. They were a no-name team ever since the departure of Jeff Fisher, and since then, have not replenished the roster with any players that could (on paper) turn this franchise into a winner. Hopefully, with a new quarterback and other additions, Ken Whisenhunt and the Titans can go back to the post-season once again.

Note: News around the NFL and the Tennessee Titans was a little sparse this morning, but we found some stories!
