Cody Prewitt, Tennessee Titans prize undrafted free agent
By Will Lomas
Not all NFL stars get drafted on 2015 NFL Draft weekend, in fact Pro Bowl players like Justin Tucker, Vontaze Burfict, Tashaun Gipson, C.J. Anderson, and Cody Parkey are all Pro-Bowl players who were not drafted in the last three years. The Tennessee Titans may have found the steal of undrafted free agency in Ole Miss safety Cody Prewitt.
Dane Bruglar: 5th round grade
Tony Pauline: 3rd round grade
Scout’s Inc: 3rd/4th round grade
Mel Kiper: 2nd round grade
Now, after signing him I watched his two 2014 cut-ups from the great folks at Draftbreakdown.com, and this is what I saw:

-First of all, the guy ran a 4.46 despite being 6’2″ 208 lbs. Only one safety ran faster that was also 200 lb. +
-This kid loves to hit. He is not afraid to stick his nose in it, even when he was playing against Jay Ajayi and Boise State.
-Gets caught looking and being flat footed which is a no-no for a safety, but was quick enough at the college level to still make plays in coverage.
-Had a pick-6 against Texas A&M and showed he could play very well as a zone safety that reads the QBs eyes and closes quickly.
Summary: How did this guy not get drafted on Day 2, much less completely undrafted. I like Cody Prewitt a lot at SS, but man he could be intriguing at ILB for the Tennessee Titans. He is a downhill runner who can blitz with the best of them. I could see he and Zach Brown giving the Tennessee Titans a dynamic pair of ILBs to play behind the beef on the defensive line.
