2015 NFL Draft: Top 10 players for Day 3
By Will Lomas
The Tennessee Titans have had a very good draft so far, and are one or two player away from looking like a rebuilt team. Which 10 players look like they offer the most value regardless of position tomorrow?
1. T.J. Clemmings OT, Pitt
Still think this player is a stud, but he must have some medical concerns with his foot that are more serious than the public knows. Either way, the Tennessee Titans should bring him in and try their third round pick Jeremiah Poutasi inside at guard or center.
More from Titans Draft
- Tennessee Titans suspiciously quiet about major draft need
- 3 needs that are being overblown by Tennessee Titans fans
- Tennessee Titans must be careful trading down in the 2023 NFL Draft
- Tennessee Titans should only spend their premium draft picks on offense
- Tennessee Titans connections may be crucial for a draft day trade
2. Michael Bennett NT, Ohio State
Carl Davis is gone, but an equally talented defensive lineman is sitting right there for the Tennessee Titans if they want to upgrade inside.
3. Jay Ajayi RB, Boise State
Some teams are scared of a medical with Jay Ajayi (like they are with T.J. Clemmings) but it is no secret that many have said that if all things were equal he would have been a top-40 pick. The 2015 NFL Draft is starting to run thin at high quality running backs, and this may be the last running back of this caliber on the board.

4. Grady Jarrett DT, Clemson
Again, another inside player that has fallen because of a lack of demand. If the Tennessee Titans want a DT that is more of a pass rusher than a gap-plugger, then this might be their guy.
5. Trey Flowers EDGE, Arkansas
Trey Flowers is a very good outside presence that is more balanced than most of the players taken above him. However, Dick LeBeau has historically liked to put bigger guys who aren’t speed demons on the outside of his defense.
6. Rashad Greene WR, Florida State
I’m not crazy about Greene’s upside, but if the Tennessee Titans want another consistent receiver then this could be a low-key guy for them. Wouldn’t it be ironic if Jameis Winston’s go-to receiver ends up as Marcus Mariota’s safety blanket?
7. James Sample S, Louisville
Some people think that James Sample is the second best safety in the 2015 NFL Draft and for good reason. He is a 6’2″ safety with good athleticism, though he only played one year after taking the JUCO route. I don’t think the Tennessee Titans need another safety, but if they draft one it is because Dick LeBeau and company pounded the table for him.
8. Kwon Alexander OLB, LSU
Kwon Alexander is the classic example of a productive linebacker that looks like a solid backup in the NFL who could make a living on special teams. This is a safe pick, but it offers little upside.
9. Ifo Ekpre-Olomu DB, Oregon
IEO is one of the most athletic and instinctive DBs in the draft when he is healthy. Whether the Tennessee Titans want to put him at FS or SCB, I could definitely see the team falling in love with his potential and value here.
10. Daryl Williams OT, Oklahoma
Like the Tennessee Titans 3rd round pick, Daryl Williams offers some versatility since he can play at guard or tackle. However, Daryl Williams looks much more like a true right tackle in the NFL so it wouldn’t be bad to load up with young offensive linemen to protect Marcus Mariota long-term.
