2015 NFL Draft: Offensive line depth for Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans have solidified the left tackle and right guard positions in the last few years with high draft picks. With good news coming out about the way Andy Levitre is looking now that he finally isn’t going through surgery, there is a chance that left guard is settled too. However, with a question mark and center and a hole at right tackle, the Tennessee Titans need to come away with at least one offensive lineman in the 2015 NFL Draft.

This is the top five (plus one) offensive linemen available at this point:

1. T.J. Clemmings OT, Pitt

Talk about a mauler, putting Chance Warmack and T.J. Clemmings together would be a nightmare for opposing defensive coordinators. While he has some things to learn as a pass blocker, he is still raw and has a lot of upside which is a rare find in round two. He was also a Senior Bowl player this year under the Tennessee Titans coaching staff, which you will find out is a theme with this group.

2. Jake Fisher OT, Oregon

While Jake Fisher is a smooth athlete, he is a better fit in a zone blocking scheme. However, it would be fun to see if the Tennessee Titans draft Marcus Mariota, Jake Fisher and Hroniss Grasu (center from Oregon) and reunited those teammates while filling needs.

  • 3. Donovan Smith OT, Penn State

Donovan Smith is a player that pops out on tape, but no one talks about. The good thing about Donovan Smith for the Tennessee Titans is that, they coached him in the Senior Bowl so if they pick him it is because they know he can fill a hole.

    4. A.J. Cann G, South Carolina

A.J. Cann is a super consistent player that has started 51 career games at left guard against the toughest competition in college football. If the Tennessee Titans are going to upgrade at left guard this offseason you would be hard pressed to find someone better in the 2015 NFL Draft.

    5. Ali Marpet G, Hobart

Some have compared Ali Marpet to Zach Martin of Dallas Cowboys fame, but I haven’t seen enough to say that. He is a smart individual who tested very well, and he is someone that everyone speaks highly of. However, lack of film won’t be an issue for the Tennessee Titans who coached him in the Senior Bowl this year.

    Bonus. La’el Collins OL, LSU

La’el Collins would have been a top-16 pick in my mind if not for the criminal issues surrounding him right now. If everything checks out like every reports says, then it looks like La’el Collins will ultimately be penalized for having a tragedy happen to him. It is a shame if he really is innocent of any wrong doing.
