After trading down multiple times, the Titans used their second pick of the day to draft Corey Levin with the 217th overall pick.

General manager Jon Robinson has frequently joked in press conferences that if he got bored, he would start trading up or down. I won’t assume that he’s actually bored during a draft, but he has made four trades so far. A few trades today have left the Titans with three seventh round picks. Before that, the Titans used the 217th overall pick to draft guard Corey Levin from Chattanooga.

I don’t know anything about him, and I can bet that neither does nearly every other Titans fan. So I will defer to what draft analysts say about him.

Justis Mosqueda has him relatively high on his board.

The Titans were expected to draft at least one offensive lineman in this draft. While the starting unit was fantastic last year, depth was needed. As was some competition for Josh Kline, who faded a bit towards the end of the year. If the guard positions for the Titans get even better, then this offense is going to be one of the best in the entire league.

The Titans have added a No. 1 wide receiver, a dynamic slot receiver, a quick tight end that can hold his own in blocking, and a guard who seems to have plenty of potential. While the offense wasn’t bad at all last year, there were too many times when drives stalled and an out-of-gas defense had to get back on the field too soon. A great offense could make the defense better just by keeping them fresh and getting ahead in games.

The Titans still have three picks left in the seventh round. Those picks come at spots 227, 236, and 241. The Titans have to go defense with at least two of them.
