By Will Lomas
The Tennessee Titans are a young football team. I know it doesn’t feel like it at times, especially with so many second contract guys.

I was curious how young this team was, so I went in and looked at all the starters who were 28 or younger.
QB: Marcus Mariota 23
RB: DeMarco Murray 28, Derrick Henry 22
WR: Rishard Matthews 27, Tajae Sharpe 21
LT: Taylor Lewan 25
LG: Quinton Spain 25
C: Ben Jones 27
RG: Josh Kline 27
RT: Jack Conklin 22

DL: Jurrell Casey 27, Austin Johnson 22, DaQuan Jones 24
EDGE: Derrick Morgan 27, Kevin Dodd 24
ILB: Avery Williamson 24
CB: Kalan Reed 22, LeShaun Sims 23
Safety: Kevin Byard 23, Daimion Stafford 25
That is 20 different starters or heavily rotated players that the Tennessee Titans have on their team that is at or younger than 29. DeMarco Murray is the only starter that is 29.
Here are some interesting stats:
-If the Tennessee Titans add one or more CBs in the draft (which they should) they will have 4+ CBs below the age of 24.
-The average age of the Tennessee Titans offensive line is 25.2 years old.
-If Marcus Mariota plays to the age of Peyton Manning, the Tennessee Titans will have him until the year 2032.
-If Derrick Henry starts for the Tennessee Titans next year (big if) their “triplets” would be an average of just 24 years old.
