Tennessee Titans vs. Indianapolis Colts: Fantasy Football Outlook
The Titans offense has exploded over the past two weeks, providing plenty of fantasy football goodness for owners of Marcus Mariota, DeMarco Murray and plenty of other Titans (and some Browns). This week is shaping up to be a high-scoring affair, which could be helpful for fantasy football purposes. Let’s see who will benefit.
Marcus Mariota
Mariota is coming off the best two-game stretch of his young career, racking up 571 total yards and seven total touchdowns with a 69.8 completion percentage over the last two weeks. It’s no surprise that his improved play has translated to fantasy football success. He’s the highest scoring quarterback over the last two weeks, and that streak can extend to this week against a weak Colts defense. The Colts give up the ninth most fantasy points to quarterbacks. Mariota should continue his torrid pace with another very good performance.

DeMarco Murray
The Colts just got gashed by Lamar Miller for 178 total yards and two touchdowns. Miller hadn’t scored a touchdown before that game. DeMarco Murray is the second best running back in fantasy football right now. A bad Colts defense + a hot Murray = fantasy football goodness. Murray is going to have a huge game.
Delanie Walker
Walker laid an absolute stinker last week in arguably the best possible matchup for tight ends. The Titans decided to attack the Browns in other ways, and it paid off very well. Still, Walker owners were not pleased and might be reluctant to pencil him into their starting lineups. But let go of that recency bias and realize that Walker is still a massive part of this passing offense and gets to go up against a terrible Colts defense. The Colts have given up the 10th most fantasy points to tight ends and just got tattooed by C.J. Fiedorowicz. Last year against the Colts in two games, Walker went for 7/68 and 9/94. Start him.
Andrew Luck
It hasn’t been pretty for Luck this year. He’s getting hit at one of the highest rates in the NFL and hasn’t had a full complement of weapons since Week 1. Those two things combined have resulted in a 267.2 average with a 7:4 touchdown to interception ratio since a great Week 1. Luck will now face a Titans defense that ranks 11th in total pass defense and hasn’t allowed a top 10 fantasy quarterback finish against them all year. Luck might be able to crack that this week, but it won’t come easy.
T.Y. Hilton
Hilton has been the biggest beneficiary of a depleted Colts offensive unit. Luck has been locking on to Hilton as a target hog and Hilton with a couple of huge performances over the past few weeks. The Titans defense has been struggling to contain opposing No. 1 wideouts. Stefon Diggs, Marvin Jones and Terrelle Pryor all went bonkers against this defense, so Hilton could be headed for another big game. He does have a hip injury that could limit him a bit, but if he’s active you have to start him with confidence.
Jack Doyle
“Wait, do you mean to tell me that Titans practice squad legend Jack Doyle is on the Colts?” Yes, he is, and he’s pretty damn good. With Coby Fleener fleeing for New Orleans before the season, Doyle has taken on a much bigger role. He started off the season hot, recording 13 catches for 137 yards and two touchdowns through his first three games. He cooled off in his next two games, before having a big night against the Houston Texans last Sunday night. With starting tight end Dwayne Allen out and the Titans defense very vulnerable against the tight end position, Doyle is a recommended streamer this week.
