Last week’s game against the Lions wasn’t much of a boon to fantasy football owners that had players on the Detroit side. Matthew Stafford struggled to put up many fantasy points, Ameer Abdullah got injured and Theo Riddick didn’t do much, and Eric Ebron got a touchdown called back. Marvin Jones did have a big game, but that was to be expected. On the Titans side, Marcus Mariota was solid once again, DeMarco Murray put up big numbers in PPR formats, and Delanie Walker went off as expected.

This week figures to be a high-scoring affair, although we thought the same last week. The Titans defense can be attacked through the air and the Raiders defense has been dreadful to start the season. Let’s see who could be of fantasy football service.

Marcus Mariota

Second week in a row that Mariota has a great matchup on his hands. Just wait until he faces the Colts twice! It took three quarters, but Mariota delivered for fantasy owners last week. This week he faces a Raiders defense that is 31st in pass defense. That pass defense got tattooed for 423 yards and four touchdowns in week one and 396 yards and three touchdowns in week two. While the Titans are still a run-first team, Mariota is in line for a big game.

Tajae Sharpe

If Mariota has a big game, look for Sharpe to be a big benefactor. He didn’t get the ball much last week, but Sharpe is still the No.1 receiver on this team. His skill set could give the Raiders big cornerbacks fits, as they’ve struggled to contain quicker receivers. I think Sharpe gets into the end zone for his first career touchdown this week. Even if he doesn’t, he’ll have a nice yardage and catches floor.

Delanie Walker

In a prime matchup against a Lions defense that bleeds fantasy points to tight ends, Walker went off in the form of six catches, 83 yards and a touchdown. He now gets another good matchup in a Raiders defense that has given up the sixth-most fantasy points to tight ends this year and were also poor against tight ends last year. Walker is a mismatch in any game, but this one should be particularly Walker-dominated. He’s bothered a bit by a hamstring injury, so that’s something monitor up until game time.

Derek Carr

Considering I like both Raiders receivers this week, it’s no surprise I like Carr as well. The Titans run defense is really good, so the Raiders are going to have to throw the ball to have offensive success. Carr has been a fantasy stud so far, and he has the options to continue that success in this matchup. The Titans pass defense can be exploited, and although we held Matt Stafford to a QB2 finish, that was mainly due to him having two passing touchdowns called back by penalties. Start Carr with confidence.

Amari Cooper

Cooper has been okay to start the season. He’s over 200 yards on 11 catches through two weeks, but has yet to find the end zone. If the first two weeks is any indication, Cooper is set up for a 100+ yard game. The Titans have given up 100+ yard games to Stefon Diggs and Marvin Jones in consecutive weeks. Both their team’s No.1 receivers, Cooper is set up for a big game.

Michael Crabtree

Crabtree actually outscored Cooper last year, and has been able to find the end zone through two weeks this year. He has the same number of catches as Cooper, but has turned that into 90 less yards. Still, Crabtree is the guy they look for in the red zone. Crabtree is stronger at the catch point and can muscle the ball away from cornerbacks. With Perrish Cox likely to be on Crabtree for the majority of the snaps, Crabtree might have the best individual matchup in this one.
