Everyone has their opinions, but the consensus is that the Tennessee Titans made it through the 2026 NFL Draft with a very good rookie class. The Titans did a great job matching up need with value throughout most of the draft, and GM Mike Borgonzi deserves a lot of praise for what he did with this class.

With that said, there are still several positions where this team needs someone to emerge as a starter or key backup. Through the draft and UDFA, Borgonzi has set the team up for a lot of healthy competition throughout training camp. With mountains of cap space remaining, it would be nice if Borgonzi made the process easier on Robert Saleh, Brian Daboll, and the rest of the coaching staff by bringing in another proven veteran or two.

These five free agents are sitting on the market waiting to be signed, and the Titans should get them on the phone right now.

Tennessee Titans should consider signing these five free agents after the 2026 NFL Draft

Kevin Zeitler, IOL

The Titans are set up for a healthy battle at center and guard. Austin Schlottmann seems to possess the edge at center, but Pat Coogan was drafted to provide competition at that spot. Jackson Slater has been working mostly at guard, and it seems like they want him to win that job, though he will battle rookie Fernando Carmona and Cordell Volson for the starting spot.

If Slater hasn't made a good enough impression, or if they want to raise the floor at right guard, then Zeitler should be the first person the Titans call.

Greg Van Roten, IOL

If Zeitler isn't on the table for the Titans, their backup plan should be Van Roten. He has started over 100 games in his career on both sides of the line, so he would give the Titans more flexibility at guard in case they just want to use a veteran as a placeholder until one of their young guys is ready to take that job. He's played for Daboll and offensive line coach Carmen Bricillo before.

Jonah Williams, OT

Speaking of versatile offensive linemen, Williams has a reputation as a first-round bust, but in reality, he has become a very serviceable offensive lineman. Teams won't take a chance on him as a starter because of his extensive injury history, but he is the perfect swing tackle to give the Titans an experienced starter who can instantly plug and play if there is an injury to Dan Moore or JC Latham.

D.J. Reader, DT

The Titans don't need a space-eater at defensive tackle, but they also don't have enough big-bodied defenders who can hold the point of attack in the middle of the line. With John Franklin-Myers scheduled to play a large portion of his snaps at defensive end, and with Keldrick Faulk hopefully following in his footsteps, they need more bodies inside, and Reader would be a fantastic addition to this defensive line.

Donovan Wilson, DB

The Titans didn't draft a defensive back in this draft class, which was a big surprise. The front office bolstered the cornerback room with the massive additions of Alontae Taylor, Cor'Dale Flott, and Joshua Williams, but they didn't do much to address the nickel back role. Wilson is a player who has experience at safety and playing in the box, so adding him could give them the depth they need at safety, while also having the versatility to backup and push Marcus Harris for the slot/nickel role.
