The Tennessee Titans are still winless in 2026. They were defeated 24-18 by the Baltimore Ravens in Week 4, dropping to 0-4. The Titans remain legitimate contenders for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.

The Titans continue being competitive. They've endured three consecutive one-score losses. Nonetheless, actually winning games has proven to be an elusive task for Robert Saleh's Titans through Week 4.

The Titans are one of five winless teams in the NFL. Their AFC South rival Houston Texans are also 0-4 and are currently slated to finish with the (way-too-early) No. 1 selection in the 2027 NFL Draft. The real-time order has the Titans at No. 2 overall, with the Chargers, Buccaneers, and Dolphins also at 0-5.

The one positive takeaway from the Titans' latest defeat was the breakout performance by rookie wide receiver Carnell Tate. The fourth overall pick registered nine receptions for 145 yards. The Titans need future draft picks to produce like Tate is.

Slated to choose No. 2 overall, the Titans could take a top-two pick in several directions. Assuming a quarterback like Arch Manning or Dante Moore goes No. 1, the Titans would have an opportunity to take the best overall prospect in Ohio State receiver Jeremiah Smith. Despite taking Tate, the Titans may not be able to pass on Smith, who is a generational talent.

Brian Daboll's offense would potentially benefit from selecting a franchise left tackle. Although Dan Moore Jr. is playing well, getting younger and cheaper could be an offseason priority. Texas' Trevor Goosby and LSU's Jordan Seaton are playing like top-five picks.

Saleh's defense could be upgraded via a blue-chip EDGE prospect. Current starters Jermaine Johnson II and Jacob Martin are temporary solutions. Texas' Colin Simmons is possibly playing his way to the top of the Titans' draft board. South Carolina's Dylan Stewart is also a big-time pass-rushing prospect.

The competitive Titans have showcased weekly progress, but they keep stacking losses. If the losing continues, they'll soon firmly be playing for draft positioning. Some fans are already on draft-order watch. The latest loss has them penciled into the premium No. 2 overall selection.
