The Tennessee Titans are finally done with Cam Ward's rookie season. Outside of No. 1 himself showing some flashes that suggest he could eventually become "the guy" down the line, there was not much to write home about in a 3-14 campaign that forced Mike Borgonzi to fire head coach Brian Callahan after five games.

Titans fans are already justifiably looking forward to the future. Armed with the No. 4 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, Borgonzi can either get Ward a No. 1 receiver he can use to climb up the Titans' franchise leaderboard or a defensive star who can change one of the worst overall units in the league.

Before they can do any of that, they need to make some signings on the margins. The Titans agreed to terms with almost a dozen players in order to provide depth at many of their most important positions.

Titans sign 11 players to future contracts

  • DE David Agoha
  • CB Keydrain Calligan
  • DT Timmy Horne
  • LB Nate Lynn
  • WR Hal Presley
  • DT Isaiah Raikes
  • WR Xavier Restrepo
  • LB Cam Riley
  • RB Blake Watson
  • OG Clay Webb
  • TE Joel Wilson

Of those players, Restrepo is the biggest name. Ward's No. 1 target during his final collegiate season at Miami, Restrepo fell in the draft after some very concerning 40-yard dash times. Still, he latched on in Tennessee and managed to catch a few passes for himself in the 2025 season.

Watson is a smaller running back at 5-9 and barely 200 pounds, but he possesses great speed and has 1,000-yard seasons at both Old Dominion and Memphis under his belt. He may not be discounted as someone who could muscle his way into an RB3 role behind Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears.

Webb was a national champion as a backup with Georgia before twice becoming an All-Conference selection at Jacksonville State and making it to the Senior Bowl. After failing to crack the Denver Broncos, Webb became an interesting developmental piece for Tennessee to work with.

The Titans may need to hope one of these of these practice squad players develops into a piece for the future if they want to continue their uphill climb back to the top of the AFC.
