The Tennessee Titans may be in need of a new quarterback after ending up with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft amid a Will Levis regression, but there are signs the new front office might be willing to go in a different direction heading into the offseason.

At a press conference in which new GM Mike Borgonzi was introduced as the team's new general manager, president of football operations Chad Brinker indicated the team wouldn't pass on a "generational talent" with their No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. This sounds more like Colorado's Travis Hunter or Penn State's Abdul Carter than a quarterback.

The idea of making a move for Aaron Rodgers has once again started to sprout among Titans fans. While he would bring a bizz to Nashville this team hasn't had in years, some think Tennessee needs to go in a different direction.

In an appearance on "Up And Adams," former Houston Oilers great and Titans franchise record holder Warren Moon shot down the idea of Rodgers, who owns property around Nashville, coming to Tennessee. Moon seemingly believes this young team would be better off picking a franchise quarterback in the Draft.

The Titans seem unwilling to let Will Levis get a third crack at being the starting quarterback, but the market isn't exactly flowing with quality veteran alternatives. Sam Darnold may cost as much as $100 million on the open market, and Justin Fields may not elevate this team.

The Titans will have their pick of Miami's Cam Ward and Colorado's Sheduer Sanders in this draft, as Ward's big arm and Sanders' accuracy are both impressive traits. However, Ward's inconsistency and Sanders' average arm strength make them far from perfect prospects.

Rodgers would bring baseline competency, as he still threw for just under 4,000 yards and 28 touchdown passes despite all the nonsense that went on in New York last season. However, bringing Rodgers in would require the team to essentially give Rodgers full control of the offense, which is too much to ask of a quarterback who will turn 42 this season.

Rodgers is a one-year Band-Aid, and a new front office may be better off picking a young quarterback that Moon would be a fan of. Adding Rodgers would be like putting a pool in the backyard, while the Titans are very much in the laying concrete phase right now.
