The Tennessee Titans already hit a grand slam with the hire of Robert Saleh as their new head coach in 2026, but now they're starting to pour it on.
According to multiple reports, the Titans have an agreement with Brian Daboll to be the team's next offensive coordinator, an absolutely monster hire for the development of young quarterback Cam Ward.
Daboll was initially hired by the Giants after helping develop Josh Allen into a superstar with the Buffalo Bills, but more recently, we saw his worth with Jaxson Dart and how quickly he was able to make an impact as the starting quarterback for the Giants. As exciting as this move is, however, there's a bit of a catch. Another job is still looming, for now...
Brian Daboll will be the offensive coordinator for Cam Ward and the Titans, unless he gets a call from the Raiders
Brian Daboll is a finalist for the Raiders’ head coaching job after completing his second interview with the team, while also remaining in consideration for offensive coordinator roles with the Titans and Eagles.

As Dianna Russini reported, the only caveat preventing fully unleashed excitement over the Brian Daboll hire for Robert Saleh in the Titans is the looming Las Vegas Raiders job.
Daboll is still in the running for the Raiders' head coaching gig, and you could hardly blame him for taking that position if it was offered to him. But this isn't the first time we've seen a coach accept a coordinator role with a team while leaving the door open if a head coaching opportunity came knocking.
Mike McDaniel accepted the Chargers' offensive coordinator job while keeping himself in the running for other head coach jobs. Brian Flores did the same as defensive coordinator of the Vikings.
The Titans desperately needed to nail the offensive coordinator hire to pair up with Saleh and his defensive expertise, and this is exactly the type of move that really moves the needle for this team.
Daboll didn't have a ton of success as the head coach of the New York Giants, but there are a lot of factors that play into that, many out of his control completely. You can't control injuries or the GM's failure to solve the quarterback position.
What we saw with Daboll, even recently with the Giants, was an outstanding ability to put young players in positions to succeed offensively. You can run down the list from Malik Nabers to Tyrone Tracy, Cam Skattebo to Theo Johnson, and plenty of others. Wan'Dale Robinson just became the shortest player in NFL history to have 1,000 receiving yards in a season in Daboll's offense.
Daboll is an excellent offensive coach, especially when it comes to setting up a young quarterback and young skill players for success. And unless the Raiders poach him away, this is another massive leap in the right direction for the Titans and Cam Ward.
