Despite the fact he was selected No. 1 overall in the NFL Draft, Tennessee Titans quarterback Cam Ward has flown under the radar. This is extremely surprising, as he has one of the most improbable and impossible success stories of any top pick in recent NFL history.

Ward has a story that could be a hot ticket on the silver screen, as he went from a 0-star recruit at an FCS school to the No. 1 pick in a draft that featured a generational talent in Travis Hunter.

Tubi has acquired the rights to "Zero Star: The Cam Ward Story," a six-part documentary series focusing on this incredible rise from one of the least-heralded recruits in the country to a player who could end up becoming one of the true greats in Titans franchise history.

“Cam’s journey isn’t just about football — it’s about heart, belief, and the power of second chances,” said director Alec Roth. “This series gives viewers an unfiltered look at a young man who was told ‘no’ at every stage yet refused to quit. From backyard games in West Columbia to draft night glory, Cam’s story unfolds across six episodes filled with raw emotion, defining moments, and behind-the-scenes access."

Documentary on Titans QB Cam Ward coming to Tubi

Ward is fresh off a year in which he finished fourth in Heisman Trophy voting, throwing 39 touchdown passes against just seven interceptions. Between his five years at Miami, Washington State, and Incarnate Word, Ward broke Case Keenum's old record for most touchdown passes in Division I history.

Ward will join a Titans team on the rise in 2025. On top of the fact that he has an offensive coach in Brian Callahan, new GM Mike Borgonzi has invested heavily in a new offensive line. Calvin Ridley is still in town as the No. 1 wide receiver along with rookie Elic Ayomanor and college teammate Xavier Restrepo.

The big-armed Ward is coming to the Titans after the Ryan Tannehill era came to a thundering, unceremonioius end and the gamble on Will Levis' rocket arm proved to not be worth his turnover problems. This franchise hasn't had stable quarterback play in a half-decade, and Ward is out to change all of that.

Considering that all he's done throughout his football career is put up elite production when no one has expected him to, fans should expect nothing different from Ward now that he has made his transition to the professional ranks.
