What did we just watch?!

The Tennessee Titans will not go winless in 2025, thanks to their wild come-from-behind win over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 5. The Titans trailed by as many as 18 points and were mostly behind 21-6 for the majority of the game.

The Titans looked pathetic for the first three quarters but kicked it into high gear and managed to not only work their way back into the game but leave Arizona victorious. That's something that not many people had this Titans team doing considering how bad they had looked this season.

Not only did the Titans come back and win this game in wild fashion, but they made history while doing it. According to NFL Next Gen Stats, "The Titans’ win probability was as low as 1.8% in their comeback win over the Cardinals, the 2nd-most improbable comeback of the season.
The Titans had an average win probability of 12.1%, the 2nd-lowest average WP in a win in the NGS era (since 2016)."

Titans complete second-most improbable comeback of the season

Yeah, this was crazy. Enough said. The Titans didn't look like they had any business winning not only this game (hence the 1.8% chance of winning it at that given time) but any game this season with how poorly they were performing but credit to this squad, when they smelled blood in the water from the Cardinals, they pounced and the rest is history.

What started the comeback was a fumble by the Cardinals to start the fourth quarter that should have been a touchdown had Emeri Demercado not dropped the football before getting into the end zone. The Titans then went on a six-play, 80-yard drive to score a touchdown and bring the game to within single-digit points.

After forcing a three-and-out on Arizona's next drive, the Titans then put together one of the most insane ways to score a touchdown. Tennessee was trying to make something happen late in the game when Cam Ward dropped back to pass. His throw was picked off by Dadrion Taylor-Demerson, who then fumbled the ball and it ended up getting kicked around enough that it ended up in the end zone for a Titans touchdown.

Just like that, the Titans were only down by two and momentum was all the way on their side. From there, we all know how the show ended. The Titans found a way to get a W and while this team still might not be playoff bound in 2025, they at least know that they can win games even in the bleakest of times. That's a powerful lesson to learn at this point of the season.
