Long-time Tennessee Titans beat writer and current Senior Writer and Editor, Jim Wyatt, is the first to tell people that the front office doesn't consult him when they are going to make moves or who they might target. However, Wyatt is in the building every day talking to the people who make those decisions, and it would be foolish to think that he doesn't have a better handle on the team's plans than 99.9% of people.
Wyatt's default response to most topics is to look at the facts and refuse to recklessly speculate, but every now and then he will drop a breadcrumb for Titans fans, and when he does, this fanbase would be wise to make a note of it and store that for later.

The most recent example of that was from his training camp preview on offensive linemen. In that report, he broke down the players, what he had seen during OTAs, what the vibe was in the facility, and what he expected from the group going forward.
That last part is the key here because the final two lines of his preview say this:
"The tackles need to prove they can be solid and steady, while depth players need to emerge both inside and out. The Titans want to see guys rise to the occasion, but adding another lineman to the swing tackle competition wouldn't come as a surprise either."
Despite the interior of the offensive line being much more of a concern, Wyatt doesn't say anything about the Titans potentially bringing in another body there. However, he clearly doesn't want to rule out the Titans signing another offensive tackle to be the team's primary backup.
This is interesting, and if you want to make it even more intriguing, this would line up really well with the idea of bringing in someone like Jack Conklin. Bringing him (or any career right tackle) makes a lot of sense because if Dan Moore gets hurt, J.C. Latham has played a season at left tackle, so he could slide over and make room for the backup.
If Latham gets injured, then having a career right tackle gives you someone who can step into that role immediately.
With training camp right around the corner, this is when moves typically start to materialize, and offensive linemen don't stay free agents for long in the NFL. Wyatt's prediction could happen sooner rather than later.
