T'Vondre Sweat stiff arm is the Derrick Henry imitation you didn't know you needed
By Mike Luciano
The Tennessee Titans' 3-10 start to the 2024 season has been so disappointing that many are wondering if head coach Brian Callahan will get a second season in charge. A win over the Cincinnati Bengals, Callahan's old team, would do a lot in terms of helping his case.
Joe Burrow and the Bengals were threatening to punch it into the end zone late in the second quarter, but Harold Landry and T'Vondre Sweat were having none of that. After Burrow fumbled the ball on a Landry sack, Sweat picked it up and made magic happen on the return.
Sweat, who clocks in at a monstrous 366 pounds, looked like a spitting image of Derrick Henry after scooping up the fumble. Between stiff-arming a would-be tackler in perfect Henry fashion and running 30 yards with the ball (weaving his way through defenders while doing so), Sweat got the entire stadium on their feet.

Sweat, picked in the second round out of Texas, has started 12 games, recording 38 tackles and one sack in the process. His job has been to clog up the middle, and he's looked terrific while doing so. Ran Carthon seems to have hit on this Day 2 selection.
The Titans winning this game would be some sweet revenge for receiver Tyler Boyd as well as Callahan, as both of them were on the Bengals last year. So far, Sweat and the rest of the roster have done everything they can to keep the Bengals in check.
Burrow has already been forced into two turnovers, as he was intercepted on the game's opening drive. Even while Will Levis and the offense remain volatile, the defense has shown up once again against a quality opponent.
The Titans will likely be picking inside of the Top 10 in the 2025 NFL Draft, but it's nice to see some of their young players make impressive plays that will keep fans excited about what this team can do in the future, all while sticking it to the Bengals.
