Will Levis and the Tennessee Titans are looking to remain in the AFC playoff picture when they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 9 on Thursday Night Football.

Levis, the second-round pick out of the University of Kentucky, has a massive debut in
Week 8, tossing four scores while leading Tennessee to a win over the Atlanta Falcons.

Now, the rookie gets a tough test against a Mike Tomlin-coached team on the road. The Steelers nearly didn't have their starting quarterback – Kenny Pickett – for this game after he suffered a rib injury in Week 8.

With Pickett expected to play and the Steelers sitting as slight favorites in this game, how should we expect the final score to look?

Predicting the final score can be tough, but it can be a lucrative bet to win if you guess correctly. Using the odds for this game, I’m going to attempt to predict the final in the Titans-Steelers matchup this week.

Titans vs. Steelers odds, spread and total for Week 9

Titans score prediction

The total for this game is set extremely low, which means we could be in for a low-scoring – and close – game on Thursday night.

The Titans find themselves as 2.5-point underdogs with a total of 36.5 Oddsmakers aren’t expecting a lot of points to be scored, and I have to agree with them in this spot.

While Levis lit things up in his NFL debut, he now has to take on a tough Pittsburgh defense that features T.J. Watt – on the road – on a short week. The rookie quarterback will have his work cut out for him, but I still think the Titans pull off the win in this game.

The Steelers may have Pickett in the lineup, but the team’s offense has struggled regardless of who is under center this season.

Pittsburgh is 31st in points scored and 29th in yards per play in 2023. Tennessee is just 24th in points scored, so this game is setting up perfectly to go under the total.

I’ll trust the defenses on Thursday Night Football, but the Titans still come away with a close win.

Final score prediction: Titans 17, Steelers 13
