The Tennessee Titans will host the Seattle Seahawks for joint training camp practices on Wednesday, Aug. 14 and Thursday, Aug. 15. The Seahawks will travel to Nashville a few days early for two practices as they're scheduled to compete versus the Titans in Week 2 of the preseason on Aug. 17. The Titans announced the intention via the excellent Jim Wyatt on Tuesday.

The Titans had made a habit of hosting joint practices with competing teams throughout the Mike Vrabel era. They practiced versus the Buccaneers in 2018 and 2022, Patriots in 2019, and Cardinals in 2022. It's great to see that new head coach Brian Callahan intends on continuing that tradition.

The Seahawks should make for an incredible adversary via joint practices. They defeated the Titans 20-17 in Week 16 last season. Seattle concluded the 2023 campaign with a competitive record of 9-8 and barely missed the postseason.

Seattle has a new head coach in former Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald. The Titans' new defensive coordinator is Dennard Wilson, who was Macdonald's defensive backs coach last season. That should lead to fun practices as both coordinators are very familiar with their respective schemes and systems.

It will be a great litmus test for second-year quarterback Will Levis. He'll be attempting throws against a secondary that includes Devon Witherspoon, Riq Woolen, Coby Bryant, and Julian Love. The opposite is also true as Seattle's defensive backs will be excited to cover DeAndre Hopkins, Calvin Ridley, and Tyler Boyd.

Tennessee's new-look offensive line will also have their hands full. Seattle's pass-rushing group includes two elite interior players in Dre'Mont Jones and Leonard Williams. The Seahawks also used their first-round pick on former Texas Longhorns defensive tackle Byron Murphy II. Titans first-round selection J.C. Latham will face edge rushers such as Darrell Taylor, Uchenna Nwosu, Boye Mafe, and Derick Hall.

Those upcoming Titans-Seahawks practices won't be short on entertainment.
