More firepower!

The Tennessee Titans aren't getting much respect when it comes to their chances of competing in 2024 but perhaps with their increased firepower, they'll be a surprising team this year. The Titans have added Tyler Boyd and Calvin Ridley in free agency and have also met with Zay Jones.

Titans fans might recognize Jones' name since he played in Jacksonville for the past two years. He had over 800 receiving yards in 2022 and scored five touchdowns that year for the Jaguars. If the Titans signed Jones to their roster, they'd have an abundance of receivers for second-year quarterback Will Levis and their offense should be humming.

The AFC South used to be considered one of the weakest divisions in the league but last year, every team but the Titans finished with a winning record. The Titans are considered long shots to win the division with the NFL darling Texans at the top of the pack after going from worst to first last year. Can the Titans replicate that success this year?

Zay Jones might be coming off a disappointing season but adding him to a Titans offense that already has some weapons could make them a sneaky team to watch out for in the AFC South.

Zay Jones could be dangerous with the Titans

Jones is currently visiting with the back-to-back Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs and it's possible that the Titans won't end up signing him after they agreed on a one-year deal with Boyd. If they did bring Jones in while investing in all of their other weapons, it could make them a more dangerous team than people are talking about.

Sometimes it's nice to go under the radar though. One thing is for sure though and that's with or without Jones, the Titans have given Levis plenty of weapons so that won't be able to be used as an excuse if he doesn't play well this year.
