Titans land stud WR in Pro Football Focus' first 2025 NFL Mock Draft

It's not quite mock draft season for the Tennessee Titans, but we're unfortunately heading in that direction entering the bye week at 1-3. The Titans have some difficult matchups on their upcoming schedule, including road dates with the Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions, two Super Bowl contenders. If Brian Callahan's squad fails to defeat the Indianapolis Colts in Week 6, the fanbase may begin looking ahead to the offseason.

Pro Football Focus recently released their first mock draft of the season. Unlike most mock drafts this time of year, the order was actually determined by the standings after Week 4. The Titans currently own the No. 6 overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft.

And with that pick, Trevor Sikkema has the Titans selecting Tetairoa McMillan, wide receiver, Arizona.

"The Titans might be in the quarterback market next April, but I’ll still give Will Levis time to work through the typical young quarterback mistakes," Sikkema wrote. "Wide receivers DeAndre Hopkins and Tyler Boyd are both set to become free agents, and the 6-foot-6, 210-pound McMillan brings shades of Mike Evans every time you watch him."

Sikkema is correct that Hopkins and Boyd are scheduled for free agency next offseason. Given their veteran status, it's not likely that general manager Ran Carthon will re-sign either receiver. Hopkins has been the subject of rampant trade rumors, understandably so with the NFL trade deadline approximately one month away, and the Titans falling out of contention.

Calvin Ridley is the only Titans receiver guaranteed a long-term outlook with the team, with both Hopkins and Boyd facing uncertainty regarding their futures. Treylon Burks has also failed to seize his opportunities, as it's becoming increasingly clear that he'll go down as a first-round bust. Nick Westbrook-Ikhine is also playing on an expiring contract.

McMillan is a dominant "X" type receiver very much made in the Hopkins mold. With Ridley playing the "Z," and rookie Jha'Quan Jackson potentially being an eventual replacement for Boyd in the slot, it's a boundary receiver with McMillan's measurables and alpha approach the Titans could be in the market for.

McMillan's 2024 college football campaign began in unbelievable form as the Waimanalo, Hawaii native recorded 10 catches for 304 receiving yards and four touchdowns in Arizona's regular-season opener versus New Mexico. Through four contests, McMillan has accumulated 29 total receptions for 503 yards. He's currently viewed as the No. 1 receiver prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft.
