At 2-4, the Tennessee Titans are almost to a point where they have an important decision to make.
There are veterans on this team the Titans could part with by the October 31 trade deadline and thus receive some valuable draft capital in return. Or, they could try and stay competitive this year, making a run at the division.
One name that's been tossed around in trade rumors is running back Derrick Henry, but what other trades could Tennessee make by the end of the month? Let's look at three, in particular.
Trade Number 1: The Titans throw in the towel on 2023
This first trade would be for the Titans' immediate future. With their current record, things aren't necessarily looking as though they will turn around. Tennessee has two young quarterbacks behind Ryan Tannehill, and if they want to try and make a move for the future, they could trade Tannehill to a quarterback-needy team. Tannehill will be a free agent after this season, so getting something for him now would be a big win.
The Jets lost Aaron Rodgers for the season, and Zach Wilson has been spotty at best, with one actually-good performance coming against the Chiefs a couple of weeks back. But, Tannehill gives this team a veteran who has playoff experience and is good enough to run the offense.
Behind Tannehill, maybe the Jets can sneak into the playoffs and then, potentially see a Rodgers return just like everyone is speculating might happen.
