About a week and a half ago, the Tennessee Titans made a move that sent shockwaves throughout the AFC.

Tennessee was able to steal away former Kansas City Chiefs stud cornerback L'Jarius Sneed in a trade that, quite frankly, did not make a whole lot of sense on the other end.

Sneed was dealt to the Titans for merely a third-round pick, along with a seventh-round pick swap between Kansas City and Tennessee. Instead of taking their chance on third-round corner, for example, the Titans landed a sure thing in Sneed.

On Tuesday, the Titans are officially introducing their new cornerback by way of a press conference. It is scheduled for 11:30 AM central time.

Fans can tune into the L'Jarius Sneed press conference Tuesday

By all accounts, fans will be able to tune into the press conference via the Titans' official team website .

After a 2023 season that saw the Titans finish right near the middle of the league in pass defense (227.4 yards per game allowed), this was an area the team desperately needed to address. On the flip side, the Chiefs' defense was the biggest reason they were able to overcome their unusual woes on offense and cruise all the way to yet another Super Bowl victory.

Sneed was an enormous part of that defense. Over the entirety of last season, he gave up an opposing quarterback rating of just 56.2 while allowing zero interceptions in coverage, per Pro Football Reference.

Sneed also tallied an impressive 14 pass breakups and two interceptions.

He wasn't the only major addition to the secondary, either, as the Titans also added veteran Chidobe Awuzie who will start on the opposite side of Sneed. Tennessee's secondary is going to look vastly different this coming season, and they still have the 2024 NFL Draft ahead of them to add even more talent there.

In an offseason full of notable moves, the Titans have shown they want to be a competitive football team as soon as possible, putting much belief in second-year quarterback Will Levis. Sneed and Awuzie join other notable free agent additions like Calvin Ridley, Tony Pollard, Lloyd Cushenberry, Kenneth Murray among others.
