Titans get a little desperate in this final 2024 NFL mock draft
By Ryan Heckman
With the first of two seventh-round picks, the Titans use a selection on Florida State defensive lineman Fabien Lovett. The definition of a true nose tackle, Lovett is a guy the Titans can use immediately on goal line or short yardage work. He's going to plug holes, at the very least. He might not be the most athletic interior lineman, but that's not what makes him an attrctive prospect. His raw size and strength are what he's got going for him, and Lovett should find a place on this roster even as a seventh rounder.
With their final pick, the Titans stay on the defensive line and take another pass rusher with a ton of upside. Uconn's Eric Watts is 6-foot-6, 274 pounds, so he has the looks of a prototypical pass rusher. His productivity has not been where teams would like it to be, but with the right coaching and maybe a year as a reserve, Watts could develop into a solid rotational piece, at least.
