3. Indianapolis Colts

What a confusing mixture of disarray. The Indianapolis Colts began the offseason with plenty of excitement as they drafted whom they hope is their franchise quarterback in Anthony Richardson. The athletic traits and pure physical ability of Richardson is as tantalizing as any prospect out of this recent draft.

Richardson brought a joy and some hope to Indy, but as the season drew near, things changed a bit. Then, the Jonathan Taylor saga began. And, through no real fault of Taylor, things spiraled out of control. It's Jim Irsay that seems to mess things up with what he says and believes to be true about the Taylor situation.

Now, no one really knows what's going to happen with the talented running back. He's going to miss the first four games of the season, but could still be traded. Obviously, Taylor wants and deserves a long-term contract, but the Colts don't seem to agree.

Regardless, they trot into the season with uncertainty at several positions. No matter what happens with Taylor, it's safe to say that the only way the Colts jump up higher than third place is if Richardson has a coming-out party and sets the football world on fire.
